Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
Gain deep understanding of products and translate complex information into comprehensive, accurate, and standards compliant content.
Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success
Examine hardware configuration items by visual and physical inspection, interpret specifications/manuals, mechanical drawings, bills of materials, wire-lists, and electrical schematics to create documentation
Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
Required:
Mechanical engineering bachelor's degree
One or more years of experience as an effective technical writer
Fluent verbal and written English
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
Experience in working with engineers to improve understanding, refine content, and create visuals and diagrams
Ability to handle multiple technical writing assignments simultaneously
Education
Mechanical engineering bachelor's degree
Qualifications
One or more years of experience as an effective technical writer
Fluent verbal and written English
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
Experience in working with engineers to improve understanding, refine content, and create visuals and diagrams
Ability to handle multiple technical writing assignments simultaneously
Skils
Professional certification (ex: Society for Technical Communication)
MS Word, Version Control, Modeling and Simulation knowledge desired, practical use of Artificial Intelligence desired.
