Job Title: Front-End Enterprise Data Center Architect
Location: Onsite - Hill Air Force Base, Utah (Monday-Friday)
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: Up to $180K-$210K annualized (hourly equivalent during contract phase)



Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Enterprise Data Center Architect for a critical role supporting the transformation of a high-impact, cloud-based data center environment. This position is responsible for architecting the front-end systems that power mission-critical applications and ensure seamless, secure, and scalable user experiences.
This is an onsite role requiring an active Secret Clearance, offering the potential for full-time conversion after an initial 6-month contract period.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Architecture & Implementation: Design and implement front-end architectures for cloud-hosted data center applications with an emphasis on DevSecOps integration.

  • Technology Evaluation: Stay ahead of the curve with emerging cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle OCI) and front-end frameworks.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance system performance, identifying and resolving front-end bottlenecks.

  • DevSecOps Enablement: Drive front-end automation, integration, and security practices aligned with DevSecOps principles in a DoD environment.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver tailored front-end solutions that align with business and mission objectives.

  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions meet DoD security standards and compliance requirements.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear, standardized technical documentation for designs and processes.

  • System Assessments: Conduct regular reviews to enhance hosted system functionality and security posture.

  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term IT roadmaps, evaluating how emerging tech can support future initiatives.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

  • 5+ years of front-end development and architectural experience.

  • Expertise in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), React, Angular, Vue.js.

  • Strong grasp of UI/UX design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and usability testing.

  • Solid understanding of API integration (REST, GraphQL) and data structures (JSON, XML).

  • Experience with data visualization tools (D3.js, Chart.js, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Skilled in front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel) and package managers (npm, yarn).

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Understanding of infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking, virtualization).

  • Proficient in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.


Preferred Certifications:


  • Highly Preferred (one or more):

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional

    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

    • Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect

  • Additional Preferred Certifications:

    • TOGAF

    • ITIL

    • Front-End Developer Certifications
