QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills:
10 years Actuarial background and basic knowledge of Actuarial concepts (Insurance, Mortality risk, Interest, Immediate Annuities, Deferred Annuities, etc.)
10+ years within the Financial Services, Life Insurance or Banking and IT industry
10+ years of experience with COBOL, VSAM, JCL, Mainframe processing
Experience with Natural, Adabas, REXX, SQL, Unix
10+ years within Retirement 403(b) and 401k
10+ years working in SDLC and Agile project development environments

Strong work ethic, self-starter, focus on customer service, team player, strong communication, people and organizational skills

Description: The Sr Technical Analyst will provide full life cycle analysis, development, support and complex problem resolution for Actuarial-type applications in a mainframe environment. This role with have both development and support responsibilities approximate 75% support/25% development. The team member must have the ability to work well with other analysts to remediate production issues, proactively maintain the efficiency of applications and provide subject matter expertise on assigned applications and processes.

Also responsible for:
Production issue resolution of incident and problem tickets for Actuarial applications
Provide accurate estimates and timelines for work requested.
Document application functionality and processing
Identify and document risks to current efforts and estimated efforts
Identify and improve gaps in job/application efficiencies
